Hi, Folks!
Welcome to Flying Moo-la; I’m glad you stopped by.
Here’s the deal. From the time I was a little child (a mighty long time ago), I just knew that I wasn’t cut out for your typical nine to five office job. I stand by my convictions, though family and friends are not always supportive of my stubborn ways. I’m not afraid to work, and I’ve had lots of jobs, but the bottom line is this: You don’t make any money working for someone else. Figure in things like emotional stability, undue stress, and job security, and it didn’t take me long to realize that self employment is the only logical thing for me.
And it seems I’m not alone. More and more Americans are seeking out new ways to turn a profit, on their own terms, each and every day. There are literally thousands of websites out there promising to “make you rich with their turn-key systems.” Please be aware that most of these are scams. If you’re looking for a “get rich quick” scheme, this site is not for you.
Now, in between “jobs” over the past couple of years, I have spent an extremely large amount of time doing searches for work from home positions. Though these jobs do exist, most companies simply award their current employees these luxuries. In fact, there are so many people out there looking to work from home, that landing a good job would be like finding a needle in a haystack. In other words, good luck.
But I didn’t give up, and neither should you. If you truly believe that you’re not cut out for the traditional career, I support you. And, more importantly, I want to help you.
Now, if you’ve done any internet searching on “work from home opportunities,” you’ll know that this is the part where I give you the be all, end all solution to all your financial woes for the discounted price of $97 (or something like that) with tons of freebies included. Sorry, folks, I don’t have that solution, and no one does. I’ve tried a few of those so called “careers,” and they got me nowhere. I’m not saying that they were a scam, but they certainly weren’t right for me.
Here’s what I will tell you. Before you embark upon a “get rich quick” scheme, ask yourself this: What really is important to you? If you’re looking to be a millionaire by tomorrow afternoon, then I guess I can’t help you. But if you’re simply looking for freedom, then maybe this site is for you. I can’t guarantee that you’ll find the solution to all your financial troubles. I can’t even guarantee that your business will turn a profit. But one of my former employers once told me that “business is business,” and there are always risks involved.
So I’ll say it again. If you truly believe that you can start your own business, then by all means go for it! I’ve compiled a list of internet sites that will help you on your way. And no, I’m not going to charge you for this list. But here’s a fair warning: Most of the sites below will charge a fee for their help. Business is business, and there are going to be some expenses. I’ve tried to find sites that charge minimal fees, because I know what it feels like to start out with nothing. I’ve looked high and low for free info, and I finally came to realize that these people need to make a living too. They’ve spent a lot of time and done a lot of research to help people like us. And let’s face it; if we can’t invest forty dollars to start a business of our own, then we have no business going into business (no pun intended.)
So, without further ado, here’s the list. I hope it is useful. You’ll find everything from information on starting a daycare to promoting a concert. I wish you only the best, and before I go, I want to give you just a couple more tips to help you on your way.
1.) Don’t rush into anything. Take some time and think about what is right for you and your family. What are your interests? What are your goals? What truly makes you happy? No matter what you do, at the end of the day you still have to live with yourself. Make sure that whatever direction you pursue, you are doing it for the right reasons.
2.) Make sure your business is legit! As soon as you decide what you want to do, get a small business license! Contact your state for more info on this. Be aware of what taxes you have to pay and when. And remember, one of the benefits of a business license is the ability to write off anything business related. Keep track of your expenses, but always be honest when it comes to Uncle Sam.
3.) Don’t get discouraged! If you’ve come this far, don’t give up. Most people fail many times before they ever succeed. If you’re doing what you truly want to do, your reward is already great! Money can’t buy happiness, and no matter what your income, you need to be content with yourself! There will always be financial opportunity; seize the day and make it yours!
Good day and good luck! I have researched these sites to the best of my ability, but if you run across a scam, please notify me right away so I can remove it from this list. I hope I have been helpful. If you don’t find what you’re looking for here, I encourage you to keep searching. Never settle for a job, when your freedom is just around the bend!
