Flying Moo Productions is proud to present “Happy Birthday, Tiny Town!” by author and illustrator Linda Roesch.
Linda was raised in a Tiny Town in South Dakota, where she still resides. The little city of Onaka, population 15 (sixteen if you count Jim’s dog) was the inspiration for the “Tiny Town” series. The next story, “Welcome to My Tiny Town” is scheduled for release in October of 2007. The books are intended for children ages 2-6. Younger children will have no trouble comprehending the text, and these stories will quickly become a favorite of children who are just learning to read themselves.
Linda has been writing and painting since she was a small child. She is a graduate of Northern State University and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and an Associate’s in Commercial Art. She has aided in the design, editing and layouts for other authors over the past five years. She is also an accomplished painter in the mediums of oil, acrylic and watercolor. Her works have been displayed in galleries throughout South Dakota.
The “Tiny Town” series is intended to teach young children about the simple things in life. Surely we can all appreciate the neighborhood grocery store, the family owned restaurant on the corner, and the red wooden schoolhouse. While for most of us these novelties are a thing of the past, young children and adults alike will enjoy spending some time in the country, even if it’s only through the power of our imaginations. |
